Really hating the new inventory thing. Where'd my corp hanger button go?
I have no idea how to move items in/out of my corp hangers
This is fk'd up, CCP.
/time to shoot the Jita monument... now, where's my damn ammo?
Edit: realized the drag between sections 'kinda' works. it's awkward though because sometimes the tree collapses :/ |

Seconded, would like return to previous system. At least make this mess optional for the Mac users that designed it.
I did like that containers are shown as trees.. that's nice, and something I was wanting. Unfortunately no actions are possible for an item when it's IN a container (e.g. Manufacturing for Blueprints), and the tree view is not shown under the 'Corporation->Assets' view. So close and yet so far..
The General Settings->'Merge Items and Ships into Station Panel' is a really helpful semi-workaround at present, thanks to who suggested that. |

Elvin Gizza wrote:Sorry CCP, the new inventory thing is horrible, why cant it be optional?
Also i love all the new modules and ****, but where are they? Have they been seeded? Again, why make it so difficult for us?
Because although you like to think that we play the game, actually CCP likes to play the game with us to see how we respond. Rats in a maze...

If that isn't bad enough I just foolish undocked an Orca, used to be I had a small window for hold/corp hangers/ore hold/ship bay now I have to look at each 1 at a time. Clearly CCP thought that too much of an eye strain.
Give me my old inventory system back .......................................................................................................................................
Shift click the things you want in their own window. What's so bloody hard about that?
And where was this explained in the 'new intuitive UI'? Oh wait, it's not intuitive at all! |

Justine Valentine wrote:Personally I am veeery happy of unified inventory :) Now I can finally control my assets the way I wan't without any problems, everything in one window, very intuitive vertical menu. I hate tons of windows opened, so this is for me :) Very intuitive and helps with organization. I hate mess :) huge + rep for new inventory! Great job.
But option to switch the inventory type would be good, considering that some ppl won't adapt to new one and they want hundreads of windows opened. Although I also can't understand why some ppl hate new inventory, probably they are one of those "I am stuck in xxxx year and won't adapt or go with time" or smth.
Keep the good job CCP, I wish for new players you are gonan get soon :) Switch all those "I hate everything new!" with new ones :)
Obvious CCP alt is obvious |

Grath Telkin wrote:Adriel Malakai wrote:This has probably been mentioned, but is there a way to make it so that the inventory window auto-opens when you dock, if it was open when you undocked? There are certain things they've said they're working on fixes for, this is one of them, window retention, the corp member hangar list, what you're reading here is basically 5 posters bitching up a storm that they've had to adapt to something new. Yet not a one of them opened their mouth when we were force fed Dominion sov rules and changes, nobody complained when Titan changes or supercarrier changes went through, nobody stood up for the nano ships when they got nuked from orbit. This change like all others, people will learn to live with, or wont, and the game will ramble on.
Maybe because EVERYONE uses the inventory. Thought about that? Snark-boy?

Does anyone who wrote this code actually play the game?
I have been asking myself that a lot after each consecutive, blunder-filled update. I have come to the conclusion that the answer is "No" I am also further leaning towards thinking that these "feedback" posts and even the CSM may just be turning into marketting fluff so CCP can look like it is really "in" with it's playerbase and values it. The truth may in fact be that CCP cares about dollars, and players that have been in game a long time don't buy GTC's as they are ISK-rich, so make them rage quit and the new blood will spend RL money not use ISK to play.
Yep, I think you're right. I thought the Winter expansion, Crucible, was CCP getting back in touch with things, now this. |

Had they done this with assets it really would have been much nicer, although I use my assets window mainly for quick bookmarks to other stations and nothing else. Which might be why I wouldn't care if they messed with it. That is actually the place where I was looking for it right after the patching. Until I realized what they did :-(
That's what I did too. I looked at personal assets, then corp assets and thought 'hmm.. maybe they don't have this inventory stuff live yet' .. did they take it out?
...
then I thought 'hmm.. where's my items window? .. and corp hanger button..' Double click for cargo hold and .. "OH DEAR GOD, NO!!!" |

CCP gives miners and industrialists plenty...

"EVE behaving this way should not be surprising - CCP frays the nerves of all but the hardiest gamers, and a galactic mess that is the unified inventory will have devastating effects on the morale of untold numbers of long-term subscribers, not matter how many more are ready to take their place."
